We offer opportunities for law students to connect with prospective employers, build relationships within the profession, and gain valuable leadership experience while working to increase diversity in the legal profession.
The Center for Legal Inclusiveness recognizes the challenges facing law students as they prepare to take the Colorado Bar Examination, particularly those who not not have the economic resources necessary to focus solely on test preparation. The goal of these scholarships is to allow recipients to concentrate on studying for the bar exam, rather than worrying about the expenses and additional debt associated with passing the bar.
We offer two scholarship opportunities for 3Ls and recent graduates who plan to practice law in Colorado – a Bar Exam Scholarship and a Living Expenses Scholarship, available for both the February and July bar.
The Bar Exam Scholarship provides recipients with a free bar prep course and pays for their fees to sit for the exam. The value can be between $2,300 and $3,000 (or more), depending on the bar prep course taken.
The Living Expense Scholarship is $1,500 to help defray the cost during the two months of studying for the exam.
The Colorado Pledge to Diversity Legal Group partners with CLI and bar review providers in covering these costs.
APPLY FOR A BAR EXAM DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
There is one application for both scholarships, available each Fall. Check back here for more details.
