CLI Resume Collect for Diverse Law Students

Resume Collection Deadline: August 22, 2021 at 5:00 pm MDT

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness brings Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) solutions to the legal community.  Based in Denver, Colorado, since 2007 we have been the premier organization supporting legal workplaces in their EDI efforts.  Through Symplicity and SurveyMonkey, we are engaging in a Resume Collect for diverse law students.

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI) is providing a resume collection program for diverse law students. The information in this application will be shared with CLI's member firms. This resume collect does not guarantee a job and/or an interview.

CLI is located in Denver, Colorado, where most of its member firms have an office. Many member firms also have offices nationwide. In your personal statement please specify: (1) prefer a position in Denver; (2) prefer a position located elsewhere; (3) open to all locations.

For the purpose of this application, the definitions "Diverse" or "Diversity" include: Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+.

Diversity Scholarships

Living Expense Scholarship  and Colorado Bar Exam Scholarship

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness recognizes the challenges facing law students as they prepare to take the Colorado Bar Examination, particularly those who not not have the economic resources necessary to focus solely on test preparation. The goal of these scholarships is to allow recipients to concentrate on studying for the bar exam, rather than worrying about the expenses and additional debt associated with passing the bar.

We offer two scholarship opportunities for 3Ls and recent graduates who plan to practice law in Colorado – a Bar Exam Scholarship and a Living Expenses Scholarship, available for both the February and July bar.

The Bar Exam Scholarship provides recipients with a free bar prep course and pays for their fees to sit for the exam.  The value can be between $2,300 and $3,000 (or more), depending on the bar prep course taken.

The Living Expense Scholarship is $1,500 to help defray the cost during the two months of studying for the exam.

The Colorado Pledge to Diversity Legal Group partners with CLI and bar review providers in covering these costs.

There is one application for both scholarships, available each Fall.  Check back here for more details.

Congratulations to 2019's winners and runner-ups!
