The Center for Legal Inclusiveness and the Sam Cary Bar Association present “The Over Incarceration of Black and Brown People in the Criminal Justice System.” 

This program will provide quantitative analysis on the astounding numbers behind over-incarceration and some of its rationale. We will also review the implications of incarceration on an individual's life and how the system's intricacies lead to devastating effects for BIPOC communities. Finally, our speakers will provide commentary on new legislation being introduced to remedy some of this impact.   It will further review the implications that the over incarceration has on an individual’s life and how the intricacies of the system lead to devastating effects for BIPOC communities.  This program will also provide commentary on new legislation being introduced to remedy some of this impact.
