Hogan Lovells values people from different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences and believes it does its best when its employees can be themselves. Everyone at the firm has the opportunity to develop, excel, and lead.

The firm’s Global Diversity and Inclusion Committee embeds diversity and inclusion into everything it does. This includes providing mandatory unconscious bias training, and flexibility for working parents and caregivers.

Hogan Lovells recognizes issues related to the recruitment, retention, promotion, and professional development of its lawyers, including women and diverse lawyers. As a result, it has instituted a comprehensive program of activities, including employee resource network groups for African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian Pacific-American, and LGBT lawyers. These groups provide mentoring, business-development, networking, and substantive programming for their members that will help them grow professionally as they build relationships. The firm also implemented the Pathways to Success program. This program provided African-American associates the opportunity to speak candidly with management, members of their practice groups, clients and alumni, as well as network among themselves.

Additionally, Hogan Lovells works to increase the pipeline of ethnically diverse, traditionally underrepresented, and LGBT students through youth engagement programs. The firm conductsmock interview workshops for diverse law students; hosts a networking event for Asian-American law clerks and summer interns in partnership with the Asian American Justice Center; and mentors returning war veterans enrolled in undergraduate programs. Annually, the firm hosts the Practical Skills Program for diverse law students in Denver.

The firm’s efforts have been recognized by others, including T-Mobile, Inc. which awarded Hogan Lovells its 2015 Legal Diversity Excellence Award. And every year since 2010, it has received a top rating of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index – Best Places for LGBT Equality.

Hogan Lovells embraces inclusivity, educates on differences, and celebrates the unique value of its people.
