Throughout her distinguished career, Lieutenant Governor and Chief Operating Officer Donna Lynne, Dr PH, has embraced diversity and inclusion. In her current position, Dr. Lynne chairs the Colorado Commission of Indian Affairs. Shortly after her swearing in, she almost immediately turned her attention to meeting with tribal leadership and visiting Colorado’s tribal lands. When she was Regional President of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado, Dr. Lynne reshaped the leadership team from 2009 to 2013 by hiring six diverse executives out of seven positions filled, including four women and five people of color.
It’s no wonder Dr. Lynne has shown up at business functions in costume as Superwoman, although she’s also been known to show up as a big bunch of grapes to promote healthy eating habits. Dr. Lynne has channeled her endless energy into promoting equality and equity in education by serving on the Boards of the Colorado Education Initiative, the Denver Public Schools Foundation and Teach for America – Colorado. From working for equal educational opportunities for all children to ensuring equal leadership opportunities for diverse candidates in the workplace, Dr. Lynne truly walks the walk when it comes to diversity and inclusion.
