Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP has an opening for a Legal Secretary / Assistant in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office, supporting the Regulatory and Government group.  Our firm is an Am Law 200 commercial law firm that provides an expanded range of enhanced services in intellectual property, litigation, ‎business transactions, gaming and regulatory and government relations.
Summary:
As a Legal Secretary / Assistant supporting the Regulatory and Government group, you will provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals practicing in the areas of water rights applications, permits, adjudications, filings and/or hearings before the office of the State Engineer; and filings and/or hearings before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission in electric, telecommunication and/or water utility cases.  A highly professional attitude and work ethic is required.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Legal Secretary / Assistant experience either in regulatory-government agency or business, and have experience with filing documents under seal, coordinating with in-house corporate counsel, and processing electronic and non-electronic court filings.  This position is non-exempt, and reports to the Office Administrator.
Skills/Requirements:
•    High School diploma or GED equivalent required
•    3+ years Legal Secretary / Assistant experience required
•    Experience with both electronic and non-electronic court filings required
•    Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
•    Experience with the Public Regulation Commission is preferred
•    Experience using a document management system preferred
•    Regulatory-Government Agency or business experience preferred
•    Knowledge of filing documents under seal with court desired
•    Experience in coordinating with in-house corporate counsel desired
•    Excellent organization, attention to accuracy, and detail-oriented
•    Experience with regulatory filings, communications, and water law
•    Ability to prioritize work, and multi-task
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work independently
•    Excellent communication skills, grammar, and proofreading skills
•    Ability to type at a moderately fast-pace with excellent accuracy
•    Ability to demonstrate professionalism
•    Ability to accept constructive feedback
•    Must be able to work for multiple timekeepers on a daily basis
•    Ability to work in fast-paced environment
•    Ability to demonstrate experience maintaining confidentiality in previous jobs
•    Ability to work occasional overtime
