Journey to J.D. Law Camp Application
I am so glad that you are interested in participating in the Journey to J.D. Law Camp hosted by The Center for Legal Inclusiveness. If you are interested in the law, you will find this program to be both fun and informative. To ensure that your application is complete, please be sure to read everything carefully.
Journey to J.D. was established to provide high school students from diverse backgrounds in Colorado with the opportunity to learn more about the legal profession. It will be held June 24-30, 2018 in Denver, Colorado and all participants will stay on the campus of the University of Denver.
If you are selected, you will have the opportunity to meet with law students, lawyers, judges, and other government officials. You will attend sessions about the legal profession, visit a law firm and courtroom in the area, and give a presentation on what you have learned.
In order to participate, please be aware of the following:
1. You must be a sophomore in high school by the application deadline of March 31, 2018.
- You should have an interest in learning about law school and obtaining a law degree.
- You must reside in Colorado.
The only cost to you for the program is a $50 nonrefundable attendance deposit for accepted participants. Participants may request a fee waiver if this presents a financial hardship. Meals and lodging are provided for all participants during the camp. Participants are responsible for arranging transportation to Denver, Colorado.
Thank you again for your interest. Please use a computer to input and submit your answers. Or you may email or mail all required documents to the program by March 31, 2018. We will notify you by your preferred method of contact once we have received your complete application. All applicants will be notified by late April regarding the status of their acceptance to the program.
